About: Erik Sejas
Mr. Sejas experience includes management and design of interior projects; most specifically dedicated to corporate office and video-conference facilities; having worked for ten years at DBI Architects, a U.S. Top-50 Firm, in Washington, DC, as well as an independent consultant for the World Bank, U.S. Government, and private clients. He is LEED AP-EBOM certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design - Accredited Professional - Existing Buildings, Operations and Maintenance) and an Associate Member of the American Institute of Architects. His credentials include a Masters in Architecture from Catholic University in Washington, DC obtained in 1999 and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from UMSA in La Paz, Bolivia that exposed him to a varied array of experiences and challenges. It is important to mention that while associated to DBI, he worked for three years at the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics where he developed GSA and LEED design guidelines and standards for its facilities group. As a Project Manager at DBI, he fully worked on the design team for the new IDB’s headquarters in Managua, Nicaragua (All CD set in Spanish) and managed the design and construction administration of hundreds of other major office renovations. His latest two projects fully implemented BIM in Revit (Bulding Information Modeling). Recently, his Architectural skills have been complemented by his involvement with the Hispanic community at large serving as a trained Spanish Interpreter; aspect that highly speaks of his professional and personal accomplishments. He continues learning, interacting, and contributing with his knowledge and experience to the group of professionals that work in the Commercial Corporate industry in the United States and abroad.
